I was in the store today and shocked to see out of all the employees up and down the aisles (maybe 20) and register I only noticed 2 people wearing masks, 3 if you count the one guy with the mask on his chin. I also had to pick up an online order. The Practices at Home Depot 2060 Skibo Rd Fayetteville, Nc are discriminatory and outright wrong. Management refused to address the issue. On today May 24, 2020 I was in need of renting an auger. Just visited HD this morning. Very disappointed to see very few employees wearing masks, 4 chatting behind the customer service desk not even attempting to follow 6’ distance. (Just one example). HD is not taking this stuff seriously. Maybe they are afraid to lose business by requiring all shoppers to wear masks but zero excuse for not requiring employees that interface with hundreds of people to wear one. This is just begging for a problem.
Don't remember the last time we have had such a frustrating online ordering experience. In order to follow our state's stay-at-home orders, my husband placed a large order for lumber & other items (we hated "ordering" lumber without seeing it personally but we are trying to do our part and not go to stores physically while the pandemic is still occurring). I can't believe it...we bought a refridgerator to be delivered on Saturday between 7am -11am. I got up early and pulled the old one out and cleaned the space getting it ready for the new one. They (the delivery drivers) call me at 9:45 am to tell me the truck broke down. Well, we had bought a $3000 bed from Rooms to go and was told the same excuse just last week. The people who staff this Home Depot are so great!! I have been there almost every day this week, often in a rush, sometimes trying to resolve a homedepot.com snafu....customer service (Tashira in customer service, Dean in ceiling fans and the wonderful woman doing keys were my service hero’s today). (Cashier Wanda was our hero 2 days in a row)...couldn’t be more customer-forward!
We are there literally every single day! We have always had excellent service. And they have an amazing morning staff.
