Attention all Veterans!! I have been shopping at Home Depot for years and have been getting a Veterans 10% discount. I go in today at the Hillsboro location and ask for my veterans discount and the cashier informs that Home depot doesn't honor Veterans without a service connected disability anymore. I don't understand how they could be so cruel to us Veterans that survived the war without a physical disability. I am boycotting Home Depot. Share if you agree. After the rude treatment from floor associates at the Hillsboro OR store, I am cancelling my HD account and shopping elsewhere. The keep to store short staffed and hire people who have no interest in customer service. There are so nice people there, but for the most part they don't care about what you need.
I'm very unimpressed that I go into Home Depot to buy stuff and I get solicited every single time I'm in there. I just want to be left alone, buy my crap, and leave! That's one of the reasons I generally choose Lowes.
Home Depot revoked the DAILY discount for military veterans, and only gives the discount a few days a year, for this reason LOWE'S will forever have my business. It is sad that someone in Home Depot somewhere thought up a way to save a little money by revoking the rights of the people who defend our country. Go to Lowe's, veterans ----- besides its cleaner anyways.
I had the wrong item delivered due to mis-tag. I went in 073014 and Catherine, Maria and Sean made it right without any hassle at all. I am so appreciative and relieved for how easy they made the situation right I had to say THANK YOU!!
I was in the Hillsboro store today (Sunday) to get a how water heater installed on Monday, the man on the floor said they would and put me on the phone with the installer, I was then told that it would be Tuesday before they would come out. I said that would not work and started to leave when the floor man said that wasn't right and took me to the manager. The manger put me back on the phone with the same installer without saying anything about the promise. I was once again told Tuesday. Frustrated I left.
