Elaine who works at the customer service desk went out of her way to help me today and I appreciated it more than you can imagine! I was at the Worcester location, where they were out of a product I wanted. The girl at Worcester contacted the Auburn store, confirmed they physically had the product, and order was placed. They have great free workshops for kids and adults.
I have waited since 7am for a dishwasher install. We paid $149 for it. Well, nobody at Home Depot knows anything about it but they will gladly transfer you all around their phone system and connect us with GE even though the diswasher is a Maytag. Not happy. Off to the store in Auburn to try and get the matter resolved.
Went in recently looking for steam pipe insulation. First person I asked said "Down that way somewhere.". Second person I asked said they had no idea. Third person I asked said "try plumbing". When I did find plumbing and found the different pipe insulations I went back to the third person and asked if he knew which one I would need. He not only didn't know but also didn't offer to find me someone who would know. In the end Home Depot lost a close to $300 sale and someone else got my business.
