I would not recommend this hotel if you have a chance of ending up on 3rd floor and you are "of a certain age". No elevator. Sloped celing, right above the bed, hit my head when going to bathroom at night. The room was extremely warm. Most of the electrical plugs didn't work. Had to rearrange the room to be able to make the fan work, which we found in a cupboard. (Moved everything back in the morning). On the plus side, the staff was super friendly.

Perhaps a harsh review of a cute little place in a great location, but, the building Is so old and flimsy that we heard every single thing that happened in a 50m radius through the evening, night, and morning. So little sound attenuation that we could hear our neighbor drink a glass of water at night. Bed was also a full, which I'd forgotten is quite small when you're 190cm...

Love the history and old fashioned charm. The staff were friendly and helpful. It had a perfect location. Extremely walkable to everything! Free morning coffee in sitting rooms in main building. Nice backyard seating with water feature and lights. We lucked out on parking but they were happy to have back up parking if needed, which was in a good walking distance to the hotel.
