The Half Shell is one of my favorite places to go on St. Simons Island. My wife and I went in to celebrate my birthday and I ordered the tenderloin. It was done to perfection. We have always enjoyed the oysters there and the Mahi-Mahi basket is excellent. The staff is friendly and attentive and helps make for a good time. But don't take my word for it! Check it out and you'll see why I give it five stars.
Last night was another enjoyable evening at The Half Shell. Our shrimp, onion rings, and bacon wrapped green beans was excellent. As usual, George was making the rounds to all the tables checking on everybody and making us all feel welcome.
Love this place!! It's a must go to. One of our favorite restaurants!!! We live here and we are from here!!!
Great food, drinks, service, and the butter cake!!! Yummy!!!
Food was great. Servers helped each other out and waitstaff was able to tell us what ingredients were in the each dish. Since I can not eat cooked onions, that was a great help.
