The Guidance Center is doing the best they can with what they have. Unfortunately they don't have much, and the clients are the ones who have to suffer for it.. My first appointment with my provider, he prescribed the wrong medication. My second appointment with my provider he wasn't aware I had spent 4 days in the PAC unit. My case manager has over 200 clients she is trying to help, and last time I emailed her asking for help, I had to email her a week later to finally get a response. I live in TGC funded housing. The Guidance Center controls who stays and leaves from the house I'm staying at. Over the years I've seen TGC change it's policy numerous times, and never for the better. Staff is helpful when they are allowed, but most of the help I've received was not helpful. TGC as a whole is either too punitive or not punitive at all, with no inbetween. An example of both extremes is that a client was evicted for trespassing on his own home, while on the opposite end of the spectrum. A drunk, and abusive cl... read more

TGC has been there for me, and I will continue to use TGC. TGC has help me see there is hope, especially after losing my son, 4 family member's, working on myself, as well as working on family issues, mental health, and much more. Thank you to all the staff and being there for me as well as my family
