We were so excited as this hotel has been somewhere we have wanted to try out for quite some time. Our king with a 'window' was a tiny room with a 2'x1' room view to the trash dumpsters. :( We were hoping for a view of the square on our date night. No hot water in the shower, sink didn't work, and our room was positioned right next to the maintenance/house keepers room, so we were woken up at 4:45 am to clanging dishes, doors slamming, and people yelling. My bridal makeup team just provided services for a wedding today at the Grand hotel. The general manager and staff were so attentive, kind, and accommodating, and the rooms were beautiful! Thumbs up!!
I am local, but needed to put my parents and my dog up for a few nights. The Grand is not only a lovely hotel, but they are pet friendly. My dog was a bit skittish and became overheated at all the activity and excitement and the front desk clerk very kindly brought a bowl of water to the hotel room so she could cool down. I highly recommend the Grand if you plan to stay in McKinney. Service was great and everyone was very friendly.

Our wedding reception this past weekend was over the top. The staff, the food and beverage and venue incredible. I highly recommend The Grand Hotel.
