My wife and I had just enjoyed a quiet anniversary dinner at a nearby restaurant in Wallingford, and I suggested we stop at The Gilded Curtain on our way home. This place is awesome! The atmosphere is perfect. It’s a fun place to bring someone as a surprise. The bartenders make the experience so much fun that you can’t wait to come back. It’s the kind of place that everyone will know your name by the time you leave. Cheers!
Went on a trivia night which was fun, small bar not a lot of seats. I have celiac disease which I manage myself by knowing my limitations. So I asked the bartender Matt for non whiskey, non scotch, non brandy recommendations (most of the drinks available had these ingredients listed) and the bartender took it upon himself to educate me on my own autoimmune disease which was quaint until he started telling me I could drink whiskey etc which according to google is safe unless there’s cross contamination which he couldn’t guara... read more
