This place is really great, especially for foodies! The menu is pretty confusing but the servers are more than happy to explain anything to you. I even ordered a cocktail that I didn't like, and they replaced it, no charge. Highly recommend.
Fantastic fresh cuisine; great bar, beer selection, and atmosphere. Reasonable prices for the excellent quality.

This has become our absolute favorite restaurant. We made the mistake of trying somewhere new in the area for Valentines Day and came afterward for their lobster bisque and some cocktails! Always excellent service and I love to see the changing menus. Perfection!
My wife and I came to the area for our honeymoon. After a long day of skiing at Roundtop, we definitely worked up an appetite. I found The Garlic Poet on Google Maps; it was the first to pop up actually, so I wasn't sure. My wife thought it would be a good new experience so we went for it and wow, very glad we did. This used to be our local favorite go-to restaurant. Lately they have gone really downhill. They used to have a terrific Filet Mignon which was the best in the area. Now they have taken that off the menu. They also used to serve a nice salad and made all their dressings from scratch-that's gone now too. Last night we both had a pork burger which was just ok. It has gourmet food. Excellent fish and risotto dish.
First visit tonight for Valentine's Day (wife and I) 2016. We had a later seating and arrived a bit early. We were greeted cordially and seated immediately. Service (Becky) was efficient, knowledgable and friendly. Food was served in a timely manner. Despite it being a late service on a holiday there were only minor 86'd items. We were visited by manager before we departed as he checked on quality of food and service. Great experience overall. Will visit again soon.
