Have been to the Poet three times now. The first two times my entrees were very good - had the filet mignon and was VERY happy! This last Friday, I went with the pappardelle with venison, one of the specials. It was bland and no effort seemed to have been made to plate it at all attractively. Another member of my party ordered the same dish and agreed with my description - it tasted like something you'd make a picky child. I will be coming back and hope the meal is better than this last one.

Bravo to all the staff. Dinner and service are outstanding. The charcuterie, calamari, quinoa salad, halibut special, and French fries were all standout. And the Buffalo Trace bourbon cocktail is a new favorite. Can't wait to return.
