About this business

As a replica of Bent's Fort, it's a cultural crossroads on the historic Santa Fe Trail. This area institution, which has been reviewed in the New York Times, serves up southwestern fare to everyone from lounging locals to heads of state including President Clinton during 1997's economic summit. Scrumptious servings of buffalo and elk tantalize the tongue. More traditional fare like salmon, filet mignon and even a vegetarian plate is also available. Open Monday to Friday at 5:30pm and at 5:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

Very disappointed. Visiting from Florida, service was slow, food undercooked. Guess you have to be a regular to get the VIP treatment.

Business response:

Hi Deb, we regret to hear about your disappointing experience and assure you all guests are equally as important to us. If you would like to discuss your visit in more detail, we encourage you to contact our floor manager at (303) 697-4771.

I went there last night for the first time. Not only is the atmosphere beautiful and very relaxing, the food is also delicious. I winded up ordering way too much food but I still ate it all. Definitely would recommend the filet mignon. Will go back in the future.

Business response:

We look forward to welcoming you back again soon, Mary!

My wife and I want to thank the staff at the Fort for a wonderful celebration of our 50 th anniversary. With the ladies in period dress singing Christmas Carols to the Native American flute player who regaled us with stories of whiskey, it was a magical night. We are so glad that our daughters, their husbands, our granddaughters and their guys could join us for the celebration. Special thanks to Leia, our hostess/server. Huzzah!

Business response:

Thank you for your wonderful review, and for celebrating such a wonderful milestone with us! We hope to see you again soon.

Absolutely fantastic! A must-see when you live or visit Colorado. Fabulous selection of wild game, cocktails, and desserts. My servers were so kind. Loved it!
