I had started to refinance my home with the new low rates for Veterans. This was a case of over promising and under delivering. I had a mortgage officer share I was a strong candidate (Great Credit Score, steady income, and was looking to invest) for the new rates and there would be no issues. They had me pay $575 for a home appraisal (way above the high end of $400 for this service), and pay for termite inspection, ect. typical loan fees but a little on the high end. A couple of weeks went by and I had heard nothing, then I... read more

A few last minute, unexpected document requests after I thought everything was submitted. However, in view of the fact that so many were working from home during this COVID-19 period, I'm amazed that it went as well as it did. Kudos to all!

I was working a deal with Dana ********* out of Portland Oregon, his NMLS ID # 497718. We had agreed to watch the rates and at some point we would lock it in, but no hurry considering the rates could possibly go down. Today I received an e-mail stating that Dana's boss thought that tomorrow Wednesday 4/1/20 the rates could possibly go down again. Then I received a call from Dana saying he locked me in? when I asked why would you do that when we agreed to watch the rates he argued what are you waiting for. I explained that I ... read more

They send me endless junk mail for which I didn’t even want in the first place. They used the info they took from the creditors to spam me. This practice needs to stop. My info should be kept private. Why do they get to harass me from info I never agreed to have public in the first place.

April of 2019 my husband and I was in the process of refinancing our home. We decided to go through Federal Savings Bank out of Texas. We were told that all the paperwork was going great. A representative from the bank came to our home to collect money for the appraisal. My husband was told to write out a check and they would hold on to the check until everything went through. The check then would be cashed and the money would be given to the appraiser. When the female representative came to our home I went to give her the c... read more

Daniel at the Federal Savings Bank was a real pleasure to work with. We had a very complicated loan situation and a very small window to close and he really pulled through for us. I could not say enough good things about Daniel and his team and could not recommend him and the Federal Savings Bank enough. Thank you for all you did!

I am leaving this review in hopes to finally get an answer to my question. I received letters in the mail from the federal savings bank consistently and decided to give them a call. The letter stated i am not utilizing all of my benefits as a Veteran and as a homeowner and there is $1900.00 ish dollars available to me. I call the number provided and got Jacob *********on the phone. He requested my file number is on the letter, and we began to discuss all the money that i could save and have some of my debt paid. I decided to... read more
