I was booked to stay here during April. Due to the virus, the hotel was not even open. It has been 6 weeks of communication with a different answer every time - refund, no refund, refund, no refund, etc. This is the worst customer service I have experienced during this crisis.
Worst customer service. Considering the state of the country and especially New York City, you would think they would be more accommodating with people needing to cancel their trips. Instead, they told us we could change our dates and then went ahead and charged us for our room when we don’t even know when we’ll be able to rebook our trip. Disgusting business practices. Half of the country is laid off or out of work indefinitely, and all this hotel cares about is taking advantage of the situation and stealing people’s money.
What a dissapointment! We are absolutely dissapointed and "amazed" by behaviour and decisions taken by this hotel. Same situation, we booked and paid (not a low price) for the room for the dates that we are not able, due to COVID-19 travel. We've been told that we can NOT get a refund, even though ALL the other hotels that we booked our rooms with for this trips allowed us to do so. Horrible customer service. Told me on the phone that I could make a cancelation with full refund (due to coronavirus) and then, when I actually request for the refund, they deny, and say that I can't prove that they have given that info... Shouldn't they be responsible for the info their employees provide?
