Current but soon to be leaving resident. I have lived here for seven years, and until recently, had no plan to move. However, I just received my lease renewal and my rent is going up almost $250.00 come January. This ought to tell you the new management, Cortland Properties has no loyalty to long-term renters. I have never been late paying my rent, nor have I had any complaints made against me. Was better when I moved in I moved into my apartment here in March of 2014. For two years everything was great. This spring they changed management from Griffis to Cortland Partners. Since then, it has been nothing but problems. The maintenance requests no longer provide you with a time frame to request for someone to come to your apartment, which I appreciated due to my pets. The Covington on Cherry Creek Spacious, light saturated apartments with gas fireplaces, alarms, crown moulding, French balcony doors, and soaking tubs. Superbly constructed for silence between apartments and floors. Office staff handles packages well, is friendly, and takes outside noise complaints seriously,. Security service at night. Pet friendly! Good fitness center, tennis court, two pools, yoga room, clubhouse with free Starbucks and dog treats. Access to Cherry Creek and Highline biking/walking trails a bonus. Too expensive The property just isn't maintained like it used to be, and with the rent continuing to go up each and every year, I'm honestly disappointed. Their is constantly the smell of marijuana smoke wafting throughout the property, the property management doesn't follow through on ticketing residents that don't pick up after their animals, and they also seem to need access to my apartment far too frequently.

Used to be better My complex has changed management and ownership several times and I have to say the lastest is the worst. They are constantly inconveniencing us by doing updates and smoke detector checks and PRE checks. Besides management, I do not feel comfortable sitting on the grass due to lack of care from residents picking up after their dogs (even though there are stations everywhere you look). The apartment itself is nice and plenty of room.

The Covington The Covington has been our home for three years now. With the stress of trying to find a nice neighborhood to raise our child, we have decided to stay here for a while longer. It has wonderful amenities, and the staff takes care of everything you need. The only thing I could ask for is a dog park..... However if that's my only complaint, that isn't bad!!!!
