We stumbled upon this lovely joint on accident and we were SO impressed and absolutely loved every single bite. Their appetizers are delicious (had the charcuterie plate and pea soup), dinner was impeccable (had the lamb and straggonoff), and the wine list... loveee. Our waiter Juve was fantastic as well. Overall, amazing. Worth it.
Oh gosh - INCREDIBLE. This place has such a great vibe. Very warm and welcoming staff, cozy space, and the food - wow! We started with the muscles, mushrooms and cauliflower to start. I had the house made pasta carbonara for my meal. We also tried the shishito peppers and Brussels sprouts. Highly recommend this spot!!
Food was pretty good. They were accommodating to my dietary restrictions. The atmosphere was a little more rambunctious than I anticipated for such a nice restaurant. My husband and I almost had to yell to hear each other from across the table. He had the beef stroganoff and I had the lamb riblets. Very filing. Would go back to try another item off the menu.
We absolutely loved our dinner last night! The swordfish special was fantastic, the service was fantastic, and we had a delightful experience watching all of the action from the chef's table. It was a wonderful meal after a long day on the road- and the best meal of our cross country road trip thus far!

Oh my goodness!! I just happened upon this place while on vacation and have thought about it every day since. Incredible quality, combinations, flavor and service. I ordered the lamb and it basically fell off the bone just by looking at it...So tender and melted in my mouth! The peach combination was brilliant. I literally feel like I need to plan a trip back to SLC just to visit The Copper Onion again. ❤️
One thing I love about the CO is that it's solid; when deciding where to go (whether it's brunch or dinner), the Copper Onion is always a reliable choice. The brunch menu is awesome, and their steak is consistently one of the best in Salt Lake. The dining room is a bit cramped and noisy, so I suggest requesting the patio whenever possible. The only drawback that is worth mentioning is that the service tends to be a bit slow, which becomes an issue if you are in a schedule or have a tendency to be impatient. Ricotta dumplings and Duck a L'Moutarde was excellent. So few people do duck but they do it well. Even the faro underpinning the duck was a hit. Wow.
Great food...fabulous service..good prices!! Can't recommend enough!
