I used to love it, but the last time I went in, my favorite flavor was no longer available, and the offerings are no longer all chocolate. The new management is changing everything that made the brand unique - now it’s just another ice cream and dessert place, so no reason not to go to Ben and Jerry’s. Now, if they bring back Orange Sunrise, I might consider returning.

Been coming here for over 5 years if not longer than that... they took out my favorite ORANGE SUNRISE OR TRIPLE DECADENCE.... i would drive 40 miles to come get my ice cream and it is now gone. Also, i was told by their associate that they ni longer make their ice cream, they outsource it which explains the sad quality. Owners, do something or you will end up loosing customers.

So disappointed that they no longer have our favorite “triple decadence” . The quality of their ice cream has gone down too. Very sad...

I came today, drove for 25mins from energy corridor. And Triple Decadence is gone! What?????? Was soooo disappointed. And there’s all kinds of weird new flavors, like green tea? If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! The store felt so different . I felt so bad after bragging to my niece that I was taking her to have the best ice cream in the whole world. Even the regular stuff didn’t taste the same. Pleeeeeeaaaassseee bring #theoriginalchocolatebar back! Please.#heartbroken

Terrible. The new owners have gotten rid of the original, in-house made flavors and replaced with mediocre ice cream I could by at a grocery store. This place used to be a fantastical unique Houston institution. Won’t be back.

As a customer for over 10 yrs, please ... new owners, take notice of YELP and Facebook discussions about these changes that reflect negatively on your store. Change it back to the original chocolate bar. Thank you.

I was very loyal to the Chocolate Bar brand - but then the company stopped being loyal to its own products (and customers). RIP: Snowberry, Creamy Dreamy Truffle, Orange Sunrise ice creams

Business response:

Hi Michael - snowberry is back. Sorry to hear your review. We work hard to please our customers and provide the highest quality desserts.

Tried the Uncle Daryl chocolate cake over 4 years ago when I lived in Houston. One of the best chocolate experiences ever. Now that ive moved away I hadn’t hadn’t it in years until yesterday. Tasted exactly the same & absolutely perfect. How?..

The changes are awful. The ice cream flavors have changed and are rather tasteless and the cakes look dry. New management is ruining this place.
