WHERE'S GILBERT?!?!?!?!? Very sad to find Candilicious CLOSED... Shocked that all my favorite chocolate covered items at Chocolate Bar will no longer be available...and what's up with all the NON chocolate stuff??? HALF the chocolate ice creams are going away!!! Perhaps they should change the name... as it's no longer fitting.
The Chocolate Bar has lost the very thing that made it a unique niche and great experience. Gone is the Chocolate Red Velvet cake. Slowly, they are phasing out the chocolate with every day sweets you can get anywhere. I will no longer drive over 30 miles to visit this place. Bad move.....Nothing makes this place special anymore. Chocolate Pecan pie will change to just pecan pie. They've introduced carrot cake and I have had better from a grocery store chain. The Chocolate Truffle Ice Cream was the best I've ever had!!!! Bravo!
Drove from the NW side to The Village today to go to the chocolate bar for their great selection of nostalgic candy....the entire section was gone and had been replaced with additional empty tables! SO SAD....guess I will have one less stop when in Rice Village! #newown
I normally give the chocolate bar at least 5 stars.... I have loved this place for years - but today very sad because I learned that the choc apricots that I am nearly addicted to are no longer being made. So sad. I understand that there are new owners and a few things are changing. Please remember not to fix the stuff that "ain't broke" as they say!
It was my first time. We tried the White Russian cheesecake and let me tell you it was to die for, probably the best cheesecake I have ever had! Will definitely be back.
