Our day starts at 4:30 AM. That's when our main baker arrives to measure flour, mix sugar, and bake delicious cookies and desserts for our front counter. As Dayton locals come to grab tasty treats, we're also hard at work on custom orders. The only place that we will ever have baked goods! They did our wedding cake and people raved! I think that they have 3-4 new customers as a result.
On Wednesday of last week I was contact by The Cakery to confirm our order for our wedding. As the details were discussed I specifically asked the individual I was speaking with if they could confirm that they had our cake topper that we had brought to them two weeks before the date of our wedding when we also paid our balance in full. The woman proceeds to tell me that she does not see a cake topper for our order. I asked her too look for it, described it and told her what the employee put the topper in (a white paper bag) ... read more

Ordered a cake for my son's Lego Batman birthday party and received our beautiful cake! The bottom layer was chocolate and the top layer was white. Even though we live three hours away, we get family to bring a cake from The Cakery for all of our events. Our guests come for the cake, and talk about how delicious it is years later. Wishing they could just open shop in Akron!
