I always get good service, food is always good. Was charged $5.70 for a small salad that was the size of my fist, a few bites and it was gone. More like a side portion

The food is excellent the waitresses are very sweet and the crushed ice is the best
The food is always good at Brown Lantern but it is also expensive and they won’t do half orders on anything, they give you so many mushrooms that you can never eat them all and they are not good leftover. They should have a half orders on the menu. Plus they should let adults order off the kids menu if you want too...maybe you just don’t want a full adult size meal...it’s just ridiculous...almost everywhere will let you order off the kids menu if you want too. Best fried shrimp and oysters ever! A favorite of the locals as well as us visitors. Has become a tradition since the first visit to Live Oak.
I’ve been eating The Brown Lantern food for as long as I can remember. Consistency is key in any business, but especially the restaurant business. Raleigh, Clara, Nat, January and team do a superb job with this. Cleanliness, great service, and excellent food (with many choices) every single time. Great food is worth the wait and price, folks! If you haven’t tried the fried shrimp or Cole slaw, go ASAP! You won’t be disappointed!
