Sloooooow service, average food. Did not get things we asked for and ran out of half of what we ordered.
Most amazing meal I’ve had in years. The food was simply breathtaking when it was served. There new chef started tonight, he’s a true master at his craft. The food looked like a piece of artwork when they placed it in front of me, and was the absolutely phenomenal. I highly recommend this restaurant and will be back. Congratulations to The Black Hen for finding chef Joshua Harris.
ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL! My family and I stumbled upon this small restaurant after many others were packed, and it turned out to be the best mishap ever!!! The menu is quite concise, but every single item was absolutely delicious! Each bite melted in your mouth and everything was cooked to perfection. Loved the cheese sampler. That and the wine made the night..when we finally got our wine. I had the filet and it was very good. My friend had salmon. Tasted both and was happy with my filet, both were very good . The chocolate bomb desert was delicious. Service was very slow and lacking for a finer establishment. All around pretty ok. I'll be kind with 4 stars but probably won't return...mainly due to service. Stunning for a date night. Liz was truly passionate about her job, and she iced the cake of perfection that was each course.
Met up with friends for drinks and an appetizer tonight. The bartender was adequate; that's the nicest thing I can say. We sat for 20 minutes with empty/dirty plates and glasses on our tables. We requested additional bread for our cheese tray and she scowled at us. I don't think we could have been made to feel more unwelcome by a server.
