Great atmosphere! FABULOUS FOOD! So many different beers to try. The owner and staff at the Barrel Room are also community volunteers and are present at a great number of local events! If you're going to the Scope, Chrysler Hall, anywhere near Granby, include the Barrel Room for that before or after drink!
Great ambiance, good selection of beer, appetizers were tasty (nachos), and left feeling happy. Enjoyed being there with about 15 others for an informal get together. I would recommend the Barrel Room for anybody in town. For us out of towners parking is tight but city lot is about 2 blocks away. Well worth the walk.

Honestly, I could not love this place anymore if I tried.
This place a classic neighborhood pub with a definite modern edge. The staff are terrific; smart, funny and attentive. The beer and bourbon selections are vast (a full bar too) Gets a great mix of professionals and grad students from all walks and stages of life. Great acoustic music every weekend. If you want a fun, classy but unpretentious hangout, check it out.
Stopped in for a bite while on vacation. A great place to visit! Staff was very friendly and made great recommendations. Especially loved the attitude of our bartender, Nicholas. He's a lot of fun and makes his customers feel at home.

Ambiance was amazing and that's where the goodness stopped. Waitress was slow, took 20 minutes for drinks and that's when they were almost dead. I got the burger which came out over cooked, flavorless on a burned bun and they didn't have mustard, which took them awhile to realize after I requested it. Fries were soggy, cold, and flavorless as well as their tots. Overall it was a horrible experience and we will not be returning.
