It is our mission to provide unique products freshly baked here in our community on our historic Pennsylvania Avenue. It is also our mission to support the efforts of the "The Royal Theater & Community Heritage Corporation" to pass the history and legacy of this great community that contributed so much to both our city and our country. Our lobby is dedicated to the history of our community and we sincerely thank all who are continuing to help strengthen our neighborhoods.

The Avenue Bakery has the most scrumptious baked goods in Baltimore. My favorite dessert is the apple cobbler in addition to the chocolate iced layer cake and the pound cake. The hospitality is so warm and welcoming. Kudos to the gracious ladies Ms Susie and Ms Brenda. They have the patience of Job when serving the long lines of customers, who are trying to decide what they want to order besides the Poppay rolls. Hard working Mr. James is diligent and a gentleman. I just met the most beautiful people ever at this well kept secret on our own Pennsylvania Ave. What a FABULOUS establishment. My people!!!!Now..... to devour this delicious slice of coconut cake. Keep up the great work!!!!

It's not just an excellent bakery, the owner hosts concerts in his bakery courtyard that support the community restructure effort, and both the bakery and courtyard display interesting Pennsylvania Ave history...
Poppay’s rolls are great. Also fabulous pound cake and sweet potato pies. Cinnamon buns and cakes like coconut cake. A mouth watering place!
