always a great time at The Abbaye, love the food and the neighborhood crowd that gathers there
very good selection of beers, good food and a very friendly staff
My good friend and I were looking for a bar/restaurant which offered vegetarian options. The Abbaye came highly recommended during a google search. Not only was the atmosphere and food good, but I've never felt so warm and welcomed while sitting at a bar. Our bartender (who I'm so sad I can't remember his name, but we were there 12/16/16) was very attentive and did everything in his power to take care of us. Great food. Good brunch deal. But I find it rude what happened between the waitress and I. I had left a dollar tip on my card and left more in cash on the table. Anyway, she came over and was going to basically discuss my tip and why it was small. She saw the money, stopped asking and said sorry. All I am saying whether I left a dollar or not, it is none of your business how people tip. And what are you going to do? Tip is optional. I mean I don't agree with not tipping. I usually always tip.
