Lovely food and even lovelier people – In my book, the folks at Thaicoon & Sushi are now and have always been some of the nicest, most friendly, most accommodating, most gracious restaurant people I have ever encountered. Ever. Anywhere. My family has been going there since it opened. We especially like to go on Sundays and try some of the authentic Thai dishes. By the looks of the other diners, this is the real deal for Thai food. We are always treated like appreciated customers -- almost like family. Service is prompt and ... read more

Most Authentic Thai food in ATL – Best Thai food in ATL. They have great service and it is very authentic. Monday and Tuesdays are good if you like sushi since they have a one dollar menu. Sunday is great if you like authentic Thai food since they being out their specials that day. I have been to Thailand and I can tell you that this place is the closes to the real thing that you can get.

Great food, very rude and unfriendly staff – I have visited this place at least twice every month over the past year. The food is great! But the consistently rude service is annoying. I tried talking to the manager (well, the person who they pointed out as manager) but it did not help. The only reason I keep going there is cos of the food. If you don't mind rude service, unsmily faces and all that goes with it, its definately a place to go.

This place is addictive – This place is a hidden gem. We eat here at least once a month and have never had a bad meal or bad experience with the staff. The combination Thai and Japanese menu is great, b/c you can have a little bit of everything.

Casual Thai spot off Briarcliff does better-than-average sushi in an unassuming strip mall. – In Short A glowing orange neon sign boldly displays Thaicoon's location in a decades-old Kroger strip mall off Briarcliff Road. The interior feels like a mediocre suburban chain and menus are delivered with plastic inserts showing pictures of the sushi selection. With everything it has going against it, Thaicoon's kitchen simply forgot that's it's supposed to be bad. Service is sharp and to the point. The sushi is affordable, and wh... read more

Fantastic & Authentic – I was amazed yesterday. My girlfriend is Thai and new to Atlanta--this is where her friends go, this is where she goes, and she took me while I was visiting. I'm a chef and try to recreate traditional recipes but they slapped me in the face with their food. The simplest special of yard-long beans with chiles and nam pla and I think some miniature boiled peanuts...blew my mind. Light, yet filling, and it's nice to have someone that speaks Thai to help you a litle bit. Go on Sundays--specials galore. Se... read more

Great lunch specials – I go here for lunch very often. They have the best sushi specials at unbelievable prices. Some come with a wonderful cucumber and citrus salad. The sushi is always fresh and tasty. There is never a wait. The service can be slow and without a smile. They're not rude, just not friendly. All in all, this is a great spot.

Great Value & Great Sushi! Love The Cucumber Salad! – Monday nights have become a ritual here. Every Mon. & Tues. is $1 Sushi at Dinner. And it's good, fresh quality fish. We always start with a couple of salads, at $1.95, the green salad with a full body Ginger Dressing. Probably the best Ginger Dressing in Atlanta. And get a second salad to share also- the Cucumber Salad, with oranges, tomatoes, crabmeat- it's real, and Rice Vinegar Dressing. Our favorite roll is the Sashimi. Fresh Salmon, Tuna, white fish, ta'mago, wrappe... read more

Authentic Thai every Sunday. Great Thai food. – Sun is the best time to go since they have authentic thai dishes thru out the day (I think it ends around 5pm) I would say the dishes on their special menu on sunday is the best thai you will get in town. Unlike Thai Star (worse service, and worse food). Must try papaya salad and spicy thai pork. Yummy.
