My husband filled out paperwork to buy a used Corvette and paid a $500 deposit. He was told that if the sale did not go through for any reason that he would receive his deposit back. He later found out that the financing terms were unacceptable so he decided not to buy the car. This company refused to return the deposit. A couple of months after receiving a letter from our attorney they called my husband and offered to refund half of the deposit which my husband refused because he wanted it all back.
