Poor customer service, hangs up on calls and refuses to provide requested documents.
On January 4, 2018 a Texas Farm Bureau driver was texting and driving when he ran a stop sign and hit my 6 month old and myself. Illegal and down right negligence. My car was deemed a total loss. I've treated and provided all EOB's, loss wages, authorizations, and medical records. My adjuster has switched twice. The new adjuster is Michael R**** and the district Manager John J****, whom are always out of office. I have several out of office replies and several emails stating they are leaving earlier than the shift. I am the ... read more

We have responded to Ms. Chakara C****** and let her know we are actively working on her claim.
This is the absolute worst company every. Their customer service is non-existent and they are not even concerned about it. They are dishonest, their representatives seem to be unfamiliar with their job responsibilities. They are great at badgering you if they want to get more money from you, but when you need them they are no where to be found. If you do not already have them, please don't waste you time signing up. If you do it will be the beginning of a never-ending nightmare. Don't let the pricing fool you. Pay more to ge... read more

After being insured with Texas Farm Bureau for over 10 years without any claims, my husband was involved in a minor accident totaling $2000 in damages. Over one year later, they doubled our auto insurance premiums charging us over $3000 for 6 months. We have no moving violations and no other accidents on our record. We were not able to reach our agent after attempting multiple phone calls for over a month. We ended up switching to a different company saving us over $3000 a year and Texas Farm Bureau still wants us to pay the... read more
Business response:
The Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Companies’ guidelines and rates are filed with the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI), and we are required to adhere to them. The at-fault accident to which our former Insured refers required adding a point (premium surcharge) to the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident. Further, our guidelines state that only Insureds with no (zero) at-fault accidents qualify for our best (preferred) rate. Therefore, the placement of the policy was renewed in our standard rate plan with the resulta... read more
