I was a patient at TCH when I was 9 months old. I had 2 corrective surgeries at age 2 and 4. Dr. Denton Cooley was my surgeon and Dr Mullins, who I used to call Evel Knievel,was my cardiologist. My parents and I thank God and my wonderful pediatrician Dr. Peyton Kelly for sending me to such a remarkable place. I am now a healthy 43 yr old RN who has worked NICU, NB Nursery and now I am currently a pediatric nurse in an acute care clinic. Terrible efficiency. They can't seem to manage a consistent appointment time between scheduling, calling to remind you, and then the actual appointment itself. We've been waiting for an hour an a half, and even though the sign in the waiting room says to please see the front desk if you've been waiting for more than thirty minutes, insinuating that they care at all how long you've been waiting, the desk staff is incredibly rude when you ask if they know how much longer you will have to wait.
I will like to thank TacH for everything they have done! I only have positive things to say and I am blessed to have a great hospital nearby. I would like to thank Dr. Fraser and his team for a successful surgery!!! Also, a special thanks to all the great nurses on the 15th floor. Special thanks to all the doctors involve in Priscilla's procedures!!Thank you everyone and God bless!!!
Nurses were really nice people in the little cafe were rude though had no choice but to get a snack there because the real cafe was closed But who cares. Anyways the doctors receptionist rns were very professional and nice!
Texas Children's Hospital does not ask children and their parents "can you pay"? Rather, their commitment is "let us help"! Kids who are sick or injured get the absolute best medical care known to man. And because God knows all and sees all, He is always there to bless kids, families, and Texas Children's Hospital! I'm surprised that TCH is swamped with patients waiting to be seen. I thought this was the best hospital for children, checked in at 10pm and staff is saying it will be a 5 hour wait. Not very happy about that.
