We recently took our 5 year old to Texas Children’s Hospital to get an X-ray. Big mistake. The hospital charged us over $2200.00 just for the hospital visit. He sat on a bed in a room for an hour waiting for the doctor to view an X-ray of his abdomen. My husband had a catscan and IV at the hospital for less than half of what Texas Children’s charged just to enter the facility!! Do not use this hospital. They charge way too much.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I cannot believe the experience I am having with Texas Childrens. I have always heard great things, but man am I disappointed!!!
Securities and sheriff deputies escorted me out of the hospital because Mom and Dad couldn’t be with baby at the same time. They’ve lied to me and I feel betrayed by most staff. Security Fernando Betran, Nurse Manager Amanda are some of the most cold hearted people. They get intimidated by me because I speak more firmly that most parents. RecommendedBest children’s hospital around. Several people came in to my sons room prior to his surgery, but no one made him feel anxious about it. A child life specialist even came in to speak with him and explain everything that was going to happen. He understood what she was talking about and felt at ease with her. They kept me updated the whole time. I wouldn’t go anywhere else but here.

I do not recommend at all.
Horrible. Their "resident" doctor on day shift yesterday who's apparently fresh out of med school stopped my daughter's Dextrose which stalled her ketones levels from descending like they should, and set us back further. Idk if this was negligently done as a way to keep us longer or if this resident doctor just doesn't belong here. Either way I've asked us to be released immediately and because they miscommunicated what they did with the insulin we're being denied the insulin we need for the 3 hour long trip back home.
