We have been customers of the Texas Cattle Co since 1984. Most of the time we have had wonderful service and very good steaks. But when we went to celebrate my daughter's birthday on March 10, we had one of the worst service experiences of any restaurant we have ever been. I'm hoping this is a one time event but never the less we will not return for a long time.
Food was very good. Gator was a little mushy and we eat it a lot. Our server, Tristen was fantastic. Steaks were 2nd to none! Hostess, young blonde with ponytail and lots of eye make up...looked annoyed when we got there for our reservation at 5:00, and every time she passed us she looked annoyed to be there. Have been going to Texas for over 25 years. Usually for special occasions but sometime just want a good steak. There have been a couple of “misses” during that time, but still the “good eat darn steaks”.
Great food, great service, and a free steak for your birthday. It doesn’t get any better than that.
Food and service was excellent! They could use some better trained bartenders but overall we loved it.
It was a great experience food is yummy and the service even better..... deserts are to die for yum!!!!
Here on Valentine's Day.... Service slow but that's expected anywhere today.... Me and fiance ordered same thing (sirloin medium-well) hers came out under cooked but good cut almost no fat ... Mine came out cooked properly but literally 1/4 of it was grissle ... The baked potato and blue chips were pretty good tho
First time in a long time we had a bad experience. My steak was under cooked. I asked for medium well and it was medium, rare the closer to the middle. First time getting garlic broccoli for a side. It was a very small portion and dried out. My daughter got a grilled cheese and the bread was burnt on the bottom side. The manager refunded my daughter's meal. I didn't bother mentioning my undercooked steak, it was still ediable. We go almost every year to celebrate my birthday, I'm not sure we'll be going back next year.
I’ve been to this restaurant 4x now. LOVE the food and service!
