I hired him (indirectly) to inspect the house we bought more than 3 years ago. In the report he mentions some issue with the sump pump and it also says that the the sump pump has a battery powered backup pump. I did know much as it was our first experience so I did not check. Flash forward to now, it turns out there is no backup and there has never been one. He probably just copied the text from another inspection. I highly recommend hiring a certified ASHI inspector for your home inspection because they have achieved the highest level of expertise in the industry.

Terry is the real deal and highly professional. His inspection was extremely thorough, and he spent extra time with us to show us where important parts of our house were located, pointed out the specific issues he found, and he answered our many questions in a friendly way that made us feel comfortable. He made solid recommendations to get other inspections and suggested it may not be a bad idea to get the sewer line inspected even though there was not necessarily evidence of a problem. Terry was prompt and communicative for our home inspection. We had a couple things we wanted him to check (which he might have noticed anyway), but he made sure to single those things out in his report so that we could see those responses. His report was thorough, informative, and accurate, which seemed to help when I hired contractors to do the minor repairs that we needed.
