Teresitas was such a delightful restaurant. When you first walk in you see how clean and inviting it is. You are greeted with a warm welcome and chips and amazing dips. I had the Zacatecas Chile Relleno Burrito, which had the best combo of beans, guacamole and the lightest battered chile relleno. What can I say about this amazing restaurant! Met Teresita Hernandez back when she had a tiny place next to where her current restaurant now exits. She had a very limited menu and seating but always crowded. She always talked about how one day she would buy the property next door and build her dream restaurant! My family and I have been going to Teresitas for many years and they have never disappointed Us. Food quality is excellent and the taste is even better.
I went yesterday during lunch break for the Friday special "espinazo con nopales" which I really enjoy. They did not have it because it was lent Friday. I ended up eating tortitas de camarón which were just ok. They were really overpriced; I paid $18.50 (no tip included) for the dish and one soda, which is the same price for the espinazo. In other restaurants of the neighborhood I pay $10.00 for the tortitas with soda included. I gotta say that I gladly pay the $18.50 for the espinazo; not for the tortitas.
