The only benefit I got from Temple University was being in such direct contact with a microchosm of the destructive institutions that structure our own society. I'm so glad I went to school that has the time to demonize children and reinforce a sense of coddled superiority in its mostly white and/or out of state gentrifying student population. The same school that didn't think it was worth notifying these students that one of its police officers helped beat Joyce Quaweay to death with a baton in her own home in front of her daughters after she was stripped naked and handcuffed to a bench.
