In the Power Generation Industry, the use of commercial and industrial thermocouples helps engineers, technicians and other product specialists determine temperature dynamics. Changes in temperature often have an effect in a turbine, engine or heavy machinery, which in turn prompts action--either automated or manual--to manage its operation.

For applications in the oil and gas industry, it is of the upmost importance to choose the right thermowells. For instance, some chemical plants require that natural gas is liquefied at extremely low temperatures, thermowells made from ordinary stainless steel are not suitable for use in such low-temperature environments.
