This is a scam! I have spoken to insurance and they are double billing! As a consumer, we all have rights and they are violating them. DO NOT PAY them!!! Call an attorney instead!
Highly unethical billing practices. Will be pursuing legal action and contacting the proper authorities. Edit: color me shocked that there's finally been federal legislation passed against balance billing. Hopefully nobody falls victim to this scheme again
Received good care the ER at Temecula Valley Hospital while on a trip to CA from Hawaii. However, the billing (Laperouse) for the the ER doctor sucks! They sent me a bill for the full amount. When I called they said they did not have my health insurance info (dual coverage). I gave them the info. A month later they send me a "Final Notice" bill for the full amount.
