Tello - what a find! Lit with candles and chandeliers, this cozy place has such a wonderful old-world feel that you may think you've walked onto the set of a Martin Scorsese film. A helpful staff serves up hefty portions (light on price) of well prepared Italian fare. Pasta is cooked al dente every time and the seafood is plentiful and fresh

Dire Duck – A pretty restaurant, but marred by TERRIBLE jarring music blaring (a staff- member's I-pod? Management -get a grip!) Whatever you do, avoid the duck salad. You get a lump of several-times deep-fried duck leg so hard you can only extract one forkful of edible meat. This is the worst duck confit in New York. If every other restaurant can get this right, what's their excuse? Never again!
Easy – Such an easy no fuss dining experience. Tell makes you feel like you're part of the family with warm food , huge portions and wine for days! I like to stop in after work for as glass of wine and some pasta. Highly recommended!
Hot food in Chelsea – Walking around Chelsea one evening I found Tello's Restaurant. I was single when I went in. I sat at the bar, had a few drinks and some pasta. I met this guy here and we started dating. Thanks Tello.
YUM! – Just got done having dinner here with a co-worker. Perfect end to my busy day. Delicious cocktails and enough food that I don't have to make lunch tomorrow! Everything moved like clockwork, we didn't have to wait long at all for anything! Friendly staff as well! Can't wait to go back!
Feel at home – I noticed another review said that a glass of wine was expensive. Have you never dined it the city before? Most places I eat at charge $8 - $14. Relaxed with a sort of Italian pub feel, I quite enjoyed my meal at Tello. The service was quick, our waiter knew the menu and gave us great recommendations, and the portions were so plentiful that I had leftovers for work the next day. The owner was in and checked on my husband and I to make sure we were enjoying ourselves, he even gave us 2 lemoncello shots on the h... read more
what a disappointment – This was my first time and will be my last. There were two of us and while our entrees had very good portions
Great Neighborhood Spot – A friend who lives in Chelsea recommended this neighborhood favorite. Came by after a few after work drinks and was glad I did. Veal and shrimp milano really hit the spot! If veal isn't your thing, I tried some of my friend's chicken rolatini and it was also to die for! I will definitely be coming back soon!
Great Italian in the heart of Chelsea – Chelsea is one of my favorite neighborhoods and I eat there often. I've eaten at Tello a few times and it has never disappointed. Sicilian salad followed by capellini primavera is my favorite. The portions are pretty big, sometimes I get to leave with left overs, still great the next day!
