I lost two different jobs. 1 was over a letter of recall from layoff, the other was a supervisor lieing his ass off and the local in Houston did nothing. I even offered to take a lie detector test. A union brother even forgot the discussion, that got me fired. The union is out for the union not the Members.
I was a member in Lima, OH. The company I drove for pulled me off the job, and forced me to do something I shouldn't have had to do. The Union offered no help, I had questions they didn't have time for me. I left the job I had and Left the union, I don't hate the unions but the Teamsters are cowards and are only loyal till the money runs out. I have better benefits and make double the money Driving non-union.
There great when they get what they, want from there workers, like the Dues money they take from your pay!!!!
Teamster since 1985 thank the man upstairs our local is still holding strong.
