Bad service, average to bad food – Went there yesterday night and will never go again. We were seating outside. A group of girls, obviously friends with the management-of-some-sort that was hanging around, was sitting next to us, and was being extremely loud and obnoxious. Their waiter got them many rounds of free drinks which got them even louder. The service was very poor. Slow in taking the order, slow in bringing the food. Relaxing place, great for a business meeting – I went to teak last night for a business meeting and had a great experience. I had missed my train and decided to relocate my meeting from the city to Teak, being the convenience and all. I had heard of Teak and how attractive the decor was, but when I walked in, it exceeded any and all expectations I had previously anticipated of the place. Good food but better service. – I agree with the person below me. The waitress Tabitha was probably the best waitress I have ever had in my whole life. I liked everything I ordered which were a few sushi rolls and couple app. (don't remember what they were). Teak is pricy but I loved it. Cool atmosphere and I would recommend to a younger crowd.
For Teak management – I love the food and for the most part the service. I have had several horrible experinces with a bar maid named (Joanna). And on the other hand I have not experinced many servers anywhere in the country as good as Tabitha.
HORRIBLE, AWEFUL....and again HORRIBLE – On 5-12-08, I went to Teak for my brother birthday with his friends. From the rude waiter, slow service, overpriced food items for insultingly miniscule portions, dishonest charges on the bill, rude manager and topped off with one party member V O M I T I N G from bad fish before she even left the place!! Simply the WORST W O R S T dining experience I ever had to endure!!!
DO NOT GO TO TEAK...EVER – I went to Teak for my birthday this past saturday night. It was the worst dining experience of my life. We sat down to our extemely rude waiter who took 20 minutes to get our first round of drinks. We had a table of 9 in which gratiuty was automatically included (which is poo poo for the service we got). $13 for a vodka. On a scale of "1-10" with McDonald's being a "1" and Le Bernardin a "10", I would rate the food a 6.5, the service a "5.5" and the decor a "5.5" – I wish to respond to "lovetoeat9's" above review. No longer Planet Hoboken This bar used to be Planet Hoboken and is now River Street. They play all different types of music, techno, reggae, etc. It is a cool place to hang out.
go if you have good insurance – Well where do I start. Me my wife and aonther couple went to teak last friday. Ive heard mixed reviews about this place so I figured let me make my own decision.
