A Good (and Inexpensive) Steakhouse in Koreatown??? – When i lived in Koreatown, i actually lived a block down from this historical establishment known as Taylor's Steakhouse. i never ventured inside because i figured that it might just be some two-bit wannabe steakhouse (Plus, the surrounding neighbourhood isn't exactly all that nice or safe). However, my parents decided to indulge my meat-loving mouth for my birthday and decided to eat at Taylor's. Don't be fooled by the neighbourhood ambiance: Taylor's is classy and elega... read more
Steaks are the rule at this old-school Koreatown institution. – In Short Taylor's dining room sports white linen tablecloths, mahogany paneling and nary a window. Entrees are flanked by soup or an iceberg lettuce salad, steamed vegetable, or either baked or mashed potatoes, window-dressing for the thick steaks. The meal is capped off with a towering slice of lemony cheesecake and a cup of joe.
Good Place with some history – I went to Taylor's a couple of times and I enjoyed the food each time. The place is a bit dark but some people would call that mood lighting.
Great steak and a great value; wonderful big martinis to boot – I just took my 83 year old parents there and they had a blast. They are fussy about restaurants and food and they loved their prime rib. The steaks are great as well. For a wonderful uncomplicated good old meat and potatoes meal, Taylor's is the place to go. And for $100 for 3 it's a real value! Also, the crowd is very eclectic and ethnically diverse.

What a cool steakhouse! You have to go! – The steak is amazing, and i think it is one of the best value for money steakhouses in town. Super cool old school decor, service is great, this is truly authentic...one of our favorite places to go in LA....
Amazing quality for the price – We went for lunch last Friday and were blown away. The lobster bisque was delectable and the Culotte was flavorful and cooked to perfection. I have to say, the ambiance was phenominal--very dark and moody, but in a good way. It took us several minutes for our eyes to adjust and you felt like you could just sit around in there all day long drinking, having no idea what time it is. The quality overall is comparable to places where I've paid twice what I paid here. It's actually quite reasonable ... read more
Great food steak and service! – We went to Taylor's and Valentines day for the first time. The prime rib was very good, I thought it was even better then Lawry's prime rib. The service was fast and friendly,it was not to crowded nor was taylors very expensive either. Overall it was a very good dining experience and we will be going back.
Waiters couldn't wait for us to leave – On a first date and I don't want to take her to a nicer steakhouse. Taylor's is always a good choice. I've been there before and they're steaks are good enough. I love the old school look and feel to the place and it's quiet which makes having conversations easy. Only problem was the pushy waiters and busboys. They came around 6 times to ask if we were done with our plates. Some people might miscontrue this as polite behavior but I always take it as "hey, you guys down yet?! hurry up s... read more
