RecommendedI’m a California girl and VERY particular about GOOD Mexican food. My husband and I were SOOOO happy to find Taxco when we moved to Illinois. Seriously, my favorite Mexican restaurant back home in CA set my standards for Mexican food. Taxco definitely meets that standard!

If you are looking for someone to cater your next party, go with Taxco! The food was amazing and we couldn’t stop going back up for seconds and thirds! Plus we even had their margaritas catered. Huge hit! Also, Jesus was great to work with! They came to our house and set everything up! It was nice to not have to worry about all of it. Thanks again Jesus and to everyone at Taxco for amazing food and amazing service! We will definitely be catering from them again 😊

Me and my husband went here tonight based on the reviews. That might be the last time I judge a place based on reviews. The service was extremely slow, we sat right near the kitchen and bathroom so the foot traffic was ridiculous. We ordered a Paloma and pina colada, took over 20 minutes for those drinks only to send them back. They were served in tiny glasses and completely watered down. The food was okay, not much flavor and smaller portions. We ended up going to los rancheros in DeKalb for our drinks and thank god we did.... read more
