RecommendedI was thinking the other night about what I enjoy the most about my weekends. I love to finally relax after a week of work, helping kids with homework, going to meetings, etc. I love movie nights at home with the kids, going to see my grandchildren and one of my favorite things that spells R-E-L-A-X is a dinner at Tavern on the Hill. We had gone there for many years. Food always descent and of course the view, come on. Staff always nothing exceptional. Moved here 18 months ago and called verifying kitchen closing in 35 minutes and being 2 minutes away thought no problem. Staff so very rude and got owner who knew me on the phone and she was very dismissive. Never went again. Don't tolerate condescending.

Best brisket I’ve ever had. And I’ve had a lot!
We were not happy with the menu. My husband had Scallops and they were under cooked. It took the bartender 10 minutes to come out front to wait on us. She didn’t give us menus or water. We were not happy.

We wish you had told the bartender that the scallops were under cooked, we would have re-made them for you. You never mentioned to anyone that you were unhappy, you were laughing and joking with the bartender, had you expressed that you were unhappy we would have done our best to correct the situation.
Excellent food and view and great staff
I accidentally found this beautiful restaurant while visiting Leeds, my childhood summer vacation place where I have so many memories with my French Canadian relatives. That was two years ago and Tavern on the Hill has become one of my favorite restaurants. I am from Ct but the ride is very much worth the fine dining experience. The scenery is breathtaking and so is the food. The service is also an additional plus at this wonderful place.
