Awesome Restaurant! Tavern on the Hill is the best restaurant. Depending on the season, you can sit outside on the porch that overlooks the valley. It is beautiful! The food is wonderful and the prices are great too. We have been there with friends and by ourselves and it is always great. The desserts are wonderful. I reccommend this place to everyone.

Beautiful This is one of my favorite places to go when the leaves begin to turn. Depending on the season you can sit outside on the porch. We went here for a second wedding reception and we were able to eat outside, it was truly amazing. My favorite here is the stuffed mushrooms. I have never eaten inside but it looks a little dark in here. The prices are reasonable and the staff was very nice.
Great Food and Views - Service is Suspect We recently ate at the Tavern for the first time. The food was excellent. There was six people in our party and we all ordered different meals. There were no complaints. The service was very poor, but the manager was very responsive when we talked to her after our meal. The views are spectacular and an added bonus. Although we had problems with our service, I would definitely give this restaurant another try.
More Than Great Food This is a favorite when you want to sit, chat, and soak in the view as you enjoy a great meal. The salmon dinner was fantastic. The full bar is well tended and there is outdoor seating if you enjoy that.
A Classic! The Tavern on the Hill is a classic New England resturant. The view from the dining room is beautiful. The food is great. I reccomend one of their chicken dishes.

We had 5:30 reservations and after waiting almost our complete 1.5 hour “dinner time” we still had no food. I asked the waitress where our food was when tables were being served who got to the restaurant after us. She said “we have a lot of take out orders”. My husband asked to see the Manager and the hostess came out. She said did you get BBQ. I said he did I didn’t and had I known it would take this long for risotto I wouldn’t have ordered it. Hi Amy here, I was only informed after the fact, I would have certainly come over if I had been told. Shannon is the woman you spoke with and she is our manager on duty. I'm sorry that you left upset.
Very disappointing- did not have a reservation- however, we were seated. We read the sign 90 minute limit. After 45 mins we were asked to leave. We were never told that on the way in. I had just ordered a second drink, staff never acknowledged in any way. The receptionist that told us we had to leave argued with us on the way out. Really not professional. We will not be back and will share our experience will all.

You failed to mention that we aknowledged that it was our mistake and we apologized because we should have informed you that since you didn't have a reservation and we were squeezing you in that we would need your table back in an hour. Instead you yelled at our staff that you had already posted on social media and stiffed your server.
