The food could have been a lot better for the price, but it is a beautiful restaurant in a beautiful setting.

My friend and I visited Saturday for lunch and had the most enjoyable time. From the friendly doorman that helped us with directions to the most delectable chopped salad I have ever experienced. And the lamb flatbread was soooooo good. I am looking forward to coming back again.
Such a disappointment. Had been looking forward to returning to Tavern on the Green as part of a family trip to New York, 25+ years after having proposed to my wife at the restaurant. It was a huge let-down, mostly due to extremely poor service from the waiter and other serving staff. Numerous mis-cues, such as not serving any rolls or bread although there were bread plates set on the table. Eventually had to ask for bread, along with missing silverware. Lovely garden for the summer and fantastic live music Friday nights. Wish they had a small dance floor.
Travelled from Scotland to get married and we dined here with our 4 guests after the ceremony. Absolutely perfect. Delicious food and drink. Lovely staff and fantastic atmosphere. Thank you!
