This was the grand finale to my daughter’s first trip to New York. The food was the delicious, the service was great, and the atmosphere was wonderful!
Good ambience but the food is not so much! Don’t order birthday cake for dessert - it’s horrible! Good service though
Stopped for a cocktail or two friday afternoon. Pleasant bartenders.... will come back again.
Tavern on the Green on Central Park in New York City is one of my favorite places to go, especially for a night of dinner and music. My brother plays the grand piano with his band on occasion at this wonderful Central Park landmark. My family enjoyed our meal immensely while my brother was playing making sure to ask for a table close to the stage but far enough away to protect our ears from the music. Supurb food and service. Tavern burger was great, striped bass was lovely. Melt in your mouth. Reasonable prices and the best views of Central Park.
Attentive waitress but the food was hit and miss. The fig appetizer was good but the brussel sprout, bacon and tomato flatbread was not good. The mushroom toast was outstanding and so was the organic salmon but the barley and leek stuff the salmon came on was gross. Creme brûlée was good.
Absolutely beautiful place? Lovely decor, welcoming and comfortable. Could have spent all day there! Highly recommend

An overall lovely experience food and atmosphere for Sunday brunch. The bacon and the blueberry brioche French toast were heavenly and the staff quick and attentive. Will definitely be back!
