Moment de détente inoubliable à Central Park
Tavern on the Green is hands down one of my favorite New York City brunches. It’s always well worth the price of admission and how could you beat a beautiful restaurant in Central Park? I always love coming back with friends and family.

5:30 reservation and initially our service was slow-felt very forgotten for nearly 15 minutes, then the waitress came with apologies that there was some confusion with service tables (heard this repeated again with the party seated next to us—poor floor management?) After that, service was perfect, food was delivered timely and we did not feel rushed. We had the sauteed shrimp appetizer, chicken and pork chop for entrees—perfectly prepared and DELICIOUS!! Food was good and our server was great. It seems that management micromanages every aspect of the experience which stresses out otherwise incredible servers and makes customers feel like, as my girlfriend put it, “like they’re duped guests in Westworld”. This is an institution & I wished they would take themselves less seriously and allow their great product and great servers to speak for themselves.
