Food was not good. Service was ok. Menu, very limited with poor choices. Was happy to go and see the place but would not return. I rate this place 1 1/2 stars. Need more quality choices and a better grade of food. No shirmp, no lobster. Nothing appealed to my husband or I. we ready over every part of the menu multiple times. Select a rating- I give it 1 1/2 stars. POOR TO FAIR.
Slow service! Rude waiter! Food horrible!
spent our wedding anniversary here the year before it closed, so was real excited to make a return visit here 24th August. Restaurant and outside areas look amazing. Had made a reservation for what we believed to be Sunday lunch menu. We were disappointed when seated to learn that the menu served all day was brunch, which was not expected. Cocktails are real good, bar area and seating really relaxed and welcoming. Hope to return to sample some of the main menus in the near future. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Wrapping up an amazing trip to NYC with a relaxing Sunday Brunch experience! Listening to Israel Kamakawiwo'ole Over the Rainbow, sipping a mimosa and enjoying yummy bites. Life IS good and Tavern on the Green helps us feel complete while we soak in the natural beauty of Central Park.

What a fabulous Birthday Celebration we had tonight. The renovations are impeccable, bringing the landmark back to the glory it deserves, with glass walls overlooking the Park, classic paneled walls and open, casual dining. Our well con sieved dinner was enhanced by our server, Natalie, who quided us along our journey of delight. We chose from their three medias of cooking : The Hearth, The Grill, The Plancha. and the evening collimated with their own Birthday Cake as dessert! Truly a night to remember!
The service was poor. The large plates are small and the small plates are miniscule. I ordered brisket. Half of it was fat. The acoustics are terrible. If you are there with more than one other person, conversation is not possible.
