It'd just a short, romantic stroll to Taughannock Falls State Park, featuring the tallest waterfall east of the Rockies. The hotel offers a wide selection of beautifully appointed rooms in the Main Inn, as well as three adjacent lakeside guest houses. We also offer a pet friendly option, and hiking trails just steps away. The restaurant is closed for the season, excepting a few special occasions and Holiday Events (see the Facebook page) but will reopen for Easter Dinner.

I have come to The Inn at Taughannock several times since it is under new management. If you like lamb, it is outstanding. But they have a variety of beautiful choices to choose from. Considering what the food was like before the new owners took over this is the difference between night and day. I am so excited to have a quality restaurant with such a beautiful view of the Lake. I'm really happy to have a place to bring all of my out of town guests that is so close to my home.
Business response:
Dear Gail, it has been a real pleasure to get to know you over the past six months.. We look forward to each time we see you and how we can wow you and your guests. Until your next visit, all my best! Brian Simon, GM
Business response:
Dear Ms DeMember, My name is Lauren McGill, I too am a resident of Trumansburg and the assistant general manager at “The Inn at Taughannock,” I oversee the 55 local people this hotel/restaurant employees. Since our General Manager, Brian Simon was at the hospital dealing with an emergency the evening you dined with us, I was functioning as both the Hostess and Manager. Once again let me say, I’m very sorry you had an unpleasant experience. I did everything in my power to make you happy, including sending you a complementary ... read more
The place is way overrated, and expensive for what they offer you. The new building we stayed is cheaply constructed with plastic shower and other cheap material- like any other cheap hotel chains. Although the room rate include full breakfast (we were told when we checked in) do not expect much: soggy pastries, and unappetizing display of fruit selection. If you ask for bread or bangles their is an additional charge! Imagined you will be served better breakfast in one of the cheap hotel chain.
Business response:
Dear Audrey, I’m so very sorry you had an unpleasant experience with our complimentary breakfast. We strive to serve a beautiful breakfast for our hotel guests, including fresh fruit, homemade pastries and steel cut oatmeal. Hotel guest may also order off our a la carte menu, which host amazing breakfast choices that are made to order. Certainly, had you requested toast, we would have been delighted to provide your husband that at no charge. We now offer a variety of bread and English muffins as part of our current breakfast... read more

It has been at least 25 years since my first visit to Tayghannock Farms Inn. Always a peak experience
Simply elegant. Kind waitstaff, lovely wine, perfect fireworks viewing. We found a posting online for a July 2nd fireworks display and made our way to the patio - Had THE MOST AMAZING Tuna Tartar and enjoyed a breathtaking fireworks display with patriotic music and delicious wine. I don't want to tell anyone about this, because it was so perfect- we will be back next year!
Business response:
