RecommendedGreat clean adorable little motel!
The Tar Heel was such a great find and late night check-in was so easy. Our room was super clean, newly remodeled and we slept so well.
nice pool quiet and affordable
Adorable renovations and LOVED parking right by the door of our rooms. Only suggestion is that the owners put hairdryers in the rooms or let guests know to bring their own. Bought a nice OBX ball cap!
I have to say I have stayed at upscale hotels and Tar Heel Motel was the cleanest. Highly recomend, and will be back.
Rooms smell bad, beds are rock hard, things come up missing, wouldn’t stay again.
Been going to the Tar Heel the last 15 years. Always a clean room, nice pool, friendly staff with easy beach and shopping access. The remodeling and new ownership is even better!! WE LOVE THE TAR HEEL MOTEL❤️😎
Assumed we had a dog and has charged our credit card without authorization!!!
