john h i agree that the 2 negatives are bogus, particularly the "wine by the glass" bit. i do have a gripe (with a very very very small "g") about reservations. on several occasions we have waited to be seated long after the time of our reservations. while we all know the vagaries of timing the runove of tables, we waited once for 45 minutes and another for about 40. but then you get to sit down and eat......
My favorite! I have eaten at restaurants all over the world - this is my favorite! If any one asks me where to go for a GREAT meal in the area - Tanino Ristorante is where I tell them to go. I have eaten there many times - I have NEVER had a horrible experience as described below in some reviews. The wait staff is overly friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Servers can make or break the dining experience We went with another couple to Taninos to try for the first time. Food was not bad but the poor attitude of the server made the experience less than enjoyable. When we asked her for each couple to have separate checks, she came back and tossed the "check folder" on the table which had both couple's checks in it! We then saw her hovering and complaining to other wait staff. The immaturity and unprofessionalism of the server was not appreciated, especially when spending over $120... read more

Never Again!! I will start with saying that I have been dining at this restaurant
Just not that special, sorry. Had dinner there with our family including both adults and kids. We were seated in one of the small private rooms which was nice. Service was slow throughout the evening - especially between the salad and entree. I might understand that on a busy weekend, but it was fairly slow weeknight. The lobster appetizer was poor to say it nicely. It was basically fried bread with sauce. The entrees and pizzas were all good and priced competitively. The drinks however were very expensive. 8.50 for a cosmo ... read more
