Great place to eat. Oh my gosh, I can't believe the two bad reviews. After multiple meals at Tanino's, I cannot think of a single thing I would complain about. The food is great, the prices are reasonable, and the service has always been outstanding. Of course I am not a chef, but I know good food when I eat it.
A Travelers Delite I was fortunate enough to stumble onto this gem while traveling. It is HANDS DOWN the finest food that I have had outside of Italy's borders. The service was amazing, the food was out of this world and the atmosphere just put it over the top for me. I only have one regret... I live in NC and can not enjoy this more often. I am ruined! I do not look at my local favorites with the same luster that I once did. Do not hesitate to eat here!
Quite good I've eaten there maybe 20 times. Reliable, tasty food. Good service. Nice people. Friendly bar. Quite a treasure for this little hick town. I'll keep going back, whenever I'm in town.
Terrible and overpriced! A con! This strip mall restaurant thinks its high-end Italian cuisine, but very poor service and "okay" meals doesn't compare to the ridiculous, overpriced wine-list. If you want to pay $22 dollars a glass (and not realizing that you are doing so until the bill comes) for a so-so wine, this is your dream restaurant! Forget Manhattan or LA, you can pay big city prices right here in the middle of Upstate. Customer service is non-existent, buyers beware! PROS: None -- CONS: Where do I start?
great restaurant One of the best Italian restaurants we've ever been to, and we have been all over the USA. Atmosphere is also very nice, and prices are moderate, excellant value. The service is also very good. I can't comment on the wine selection, as I do not drink wine, but we try to go to Taninos whenever in the area
Just not that special, sorry. Had dinner there with our family including both adults and kids. We were seated in one of the small private rooms which was nice. Service was slow throughout the evening - especially between the salad and entree. I might understand that on a busy weekend, but it was fairly slow weeknight. The lobster appetizer was poor to say it nicely. It was basically fried bread with sauce. The entrees and pizzas were all good and priced competitively. Servers can make or break the dining experience We went with another couple to Taninos to try for the first time. Food was not bad but the poor attitude of the server made the experience less than enjoyable. When we asked her for each couple to have separate checks, she came back and tossed the "check folder" on the table which had both couple's checks in it! Adam M. I have eaten here many times and just made a reservation for this upcoming week. I am taking my wife for her b-day and she has never been. Everytime I go I have had a 5 star meal.
