Tangerine, more like a lemon! – Small portions for big prices, with an overblown affinity for pearl onions. The overly trained waitstaff could have been wearing promotional buttons for the amount of flair we were forced to endure. It was clear that the food was cooked rather preapred by chefs, poor presentation, bland flavors with nothing spectacular to mention. The only redeeming thing was the triple creme cheese, which was not made in house, and the $20 corking fee to avoid the astronomical wine prices. Stay in the bar and... read more

amazing atmosphere, excellent salmon and definitely need reservations.... – The atmosphere here is really great. The "candle wall" and dim lighting is excellent to set the mood couples or a great place to go to end the hangover (no bright lights). The salmon was excellent the night I was there and I would deinitely go again and again!

Bar is hip, food is so so – I definitely love the bar scene - very trendy. I tried the restaurant and unfortunately did not have the same opinion as to their bar. The food was alright but I definitely expected more from a Starr restaurant. Again, there's nothing wrong with it, it's just not a wow for me.

North African cuisine meets Old City cocktail at this Moroccan-influenced restaurant. – In Short In the large dining room, flickering cutout lanterns and dozens of candles cast shadowy patterns onto low leather chairs and marbleized columns. The effect is neither quaint nor elegant but surprisingly impressive nevertheless. Generically labeled as "Mediterranean," the cuisine takes familiar international bases--like gnocchi, ceviche and filet mignon au poivre--then adds a splash of North African flavoring. Portions are meant t... read more

Not impressed – I got the whole fish. It was OK at best, and certainly not worth any $30. My dining companion got some other stuff, none of which was all that special or worth the cost, or, apparently, memorable. The servers were a kind of condescending and not well-informed. There are much better restaurants in Old City; Cuba Libre and Patou being two.

Outstanding – I adore Tangerine. Their food is about as good as you can ask for anywhere. The drinks compliment the service and the quality of the food. I especially love the Salmon and Bass dishes.

Loved it!! – I have been to tangerine many times for drinks but never for dinner until my boyfriend and I came here early on a Sunday night in May. Since the restaurant was just opening for the evening, the maitre d' asked if we would like to enjoy a pre-dinner cocktail in the lounge. This was an excellent idea as we had a chance to enjoy a drink while sitting in a cozy corner. Notable drink is the Strawberry Blonde which is a made with an italian strawberry liqueur with wild strawberries floating in it. Tangerine is the onl... read more

Overall good experience – Certainly isn't my new favorite, but had a really good experience there. The appetizers are amazing, good ambiance and you have to have a Tangerine to start the night off.
